As time passed, the city of Ahmedabad went on a huge expansion in all aspects. New localities were formed.
The city then began to upgrade as a well built city. Ahmedabad was beautified by mansions, mosques and gardens of the Sultans. This city is well known for its rich history and its association with Mahatma (Great Soul), also known as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Ahmedabad offers travelers a unique style of architecture, blended in both the Hindu and Islamic styles. The monuments of Ahmedabad are of the 15th century.
